A puzzle game called Avalanche is the new craze that's sweeping Dream Land! Since everyone is playing it, Kirby had the idea to hold a countrywide tournament to see who is the best of the best. The competition won't be easy, though; Dream Landers take their games seriously!

This game is actually an international version of Super Puyo Puyo, given a Kirby makeover for western audiences. In true Puyo Puyo fashion, two players face each other off by lining up falling blobs in order to send obstacles to the other side. The strategy of the game comes from setting up combos in advance, and causing an "avalanche" to rack up big points. Players can work their way up against familiar characters in the Competition mode, or go head-to-head with each other in 1P Vs. 2P.
