Talking Point: What do you think Star-Crossed World's newest Waddle Dee is called?

Kirby and the Forgotten Land had a lot of new Waddle Dees. And when we mean a lot, we really do mean a lot. Wise Waddle Dee, Weapons-Shop Waddle Dee, Delivery Waddle Dee, Café-Staff Waddle Dee, The Deedly Dees... the list goes on and on.

With Kirby and the Forgotten Land getting a new Star-Crossed World expansion for its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, of course, we were bound to get more new residents of Waddle Dee Town.

While there probably is another Waddle Dee (or more like five, knowing HAL) waiting to be revealed, Star-Crossed World's first trailer did give us a glimpse at a mysterious new inhabitant of the Forgotten Lands. Meet... well we wish we knew who they were!

So who is this Waddle Dee? Where were they in the original game's events? Why are they wearing a backpack? Can I buy a replica of their hat? Is this Bandanna Waddle Dee? Those last two questions probably will be "no," but that hasn't stopped us from overanalyzing the franchise's newest sensation! More importantly, what's their name? What do we call this Waddle Dee? Our staff at Kirby Informer has plenty of ideas! Here is what we think the newest Waddle Dee might be called...

Marc, Editor:

I'm going to call him "Stargazer Dee" for now. Just seems to make sense with the opening cutscene showing falling meteorites, and his hat has constellation patterns.

Aurora, Editor:

"Astronomer," "Cosmologist," "Meteoriticist," and "Stargazer" are what I'm currently thinking. I am also kind of thinking "Astrologist, as they might help Kirby and Elfilin how to prepare for future events and all. Look for "signs" and meanings behind the meteor crash.

Crafty, Social & Artist:

"Star Dee," "Galactic Waddle Dee," "Starry Waddle Dee..." "Stargazer Dee?" "Cosmic Waddle Dee," "Navigator Waddle Dee..."

Soup, Artist:

The hat is definitely giving me real "Stargazer Waddle Dee" vibes, but I’m not fully sure!

I am going with "Astronomer Waddle Dee." His hat is obviously constellations, and he looks like he is carrying a telescope (at least, that's my guess), and I'm noticing a lot of astronomy theming so far.

Mac, Artist:

I was thinking, "Astral Waddle Dee," maybe? But I'm not sure...

Ben, Artist:

Maybe something like "Navi Waddle Dee," caus it seems like he's a celestial navigator or something. "Celestial Waddle Dee?"
